Nurses receive training in Guided self-determination

Last week, eight diabetes nurses enrolled in Guided self-determination training at the University of Stavanger and Bergen University College. Following this first day of coursing they will now test the method on patients with type 2 diabetes in general practice.

The annual diabetes conference has led to several collaborative projects across borders. A total of 30 researchers from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland participated at the conference held by the research group DiaBest.

Depression can triple the risk of foot ulcer

Persons with both depression and diabetes face higher risk of developing foot ulcers than others with diabetes, according to research conducted by Associate Professor Marjolein Iversen.

Tested blood sugar levels at Bergen Science Festival

What is it like to live with type 1 diabetes? The DiaHealth research group participated at Forskningsdagene UNG (for upper secondary schools) with a stand where students could get their blood sugar levels tested.
